Buffering & Stacking

After picking, the slot content must be transferred to a buffer (if the contents fits). If the slot content does not fit the buffer, the content can only be placed on a stack.

Complete Stack orders

If goods are picked in multiple zones all goods are being gathered on a stack. The stack is the final location before the shipment can be completed. This is visible on the packing screen.

Stacking a buffer during packing

Every buffer will end up at a packing table. The packer will scan each buffer. Depending on the number of buffers used to pick the order, Clougistic will guide the packer:

It is possible to make a shipment.

It's not possible to make a shipment. Put the buffer on stack. If there is already a stack in use for this order, it's possible to add the content of the buffer to the used stack.

It's possible to make a shipment. The goods from stack and contents from the current buffer should be added to the shipment.

Clearing buffer and stack

Once a shipment is created the stack and buffer can be reused in the proces.
